Operation Killer: Feb. 20th- March 6, 1961
This was designed to attack the communist troops in the eastern part of the country. It succeeded, but the communist were now withdrawing northward.
Operation Roundup: Feb. 5th, 1951
This was taken place in the center of the country, where the X corps and the Rokill Corps launched operation roundup. They launched what was known as their 4th offense, the Battle of Chipyoongi. The United Nations managed to stop this offense and once again regained the initiative.
Operation Ripper: March 6-31, 1951
Ridgeway then launched operation ripper, whose goal was to move UN forces almost back to the 38th parallel. The operation was succeeded and as a result of the operation, Seoul was once again liberated. Ridgeway then decided to reach the 38th parallel and by the end of March, UN troops had reached the parallel almost across entirely.
Inchon:
This was a decisive battle and on Sept. 15, the Marines began their invasion of the island. Within an hour, the island was in American hands. The North Korean lost a total of 1350 men. In the morning, 6 Korean tanks tried to master a counter-attack but within minutes, armed men destroyed the tanks.
Pusan: June 25th, 1950
UN forces pushed the communist back from Pusan, and advanced north.
